City of Ankeny recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Ankeny will hold a Special City Election on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 to fill a seat on the city council vacated by Mark Holm, who was elected Mayor in November and took office Jan. 1, 2022.

Polls are open on Tuesday, March 29, from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. Absentee requests by mail will be accepted through March 14. In-person absentee voting is open March 9 -March 28 at the Polk County Election office, located at 120 Second Ave., Des Moines.
