City of Johnston recently issued the following announcement.
All City of Johnston office buildings and the library will be closed Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The City Council work session and meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18. Trash and recycling are not affected by this holiday.
City office buildings will reopen for business on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Of the 103 H-1B petitions filed by employers classified under the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry located across North DSM News publication area 102 were approved in 2024, as per data provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.
