Polk City home prices rise in the first quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2020 in Polk City rose by $42,950 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2020, there were 42 homes sold, with a median sale price of $236,450 - a 22.2% increase over the $193,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 30 homes sold in Polk City in the first quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Polk City for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,800, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2020.
