Polk City home prices rise in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Polk City rose by $33,250 while total sales increased by 10.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were 51 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 15.3% increase over the $216,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 46 homes sold in Polk City in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Polk City for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,800, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
