City of Johnston issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.
ONLINE AUCTION IN PREPARATION FOR CITY HALL MOVE
The City of Johnston is hosting an online auction in preparation for the move to its new building. Auction items include everything from furniture, bookshelves, office furniture, chairs and more. Individuals and institutions can obtain specifics and bid on the items at https://www.govdeals.com/JohnstonIA. The online auction will close on Friday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.
The new City Hall is scheduled to be open for business on Monday, Oct. 12. Once all items have been removed from the old City Hall, the building will be torn down to make room for The Yard. For more information about the Johnston Town Center, click here.
