Altoona home prices fall in September 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2020 in Altoona fell by $9,500 while total sales increased by 17%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2020, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $218,000 - a 4.2% decrease over the $227,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 47 homes sold in Altoona in September 2019.

The median sales tax in Altoona for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,448, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for September 2020.
