Des Moines home prices rise in October 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2020 in Des Moines rose by $19,750 while total sales decreased by 10%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2020, there were 416 homes sold, with a median sale price of $158,000 - a 14.3% increase over the $138,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 462 homes sold in Des Moines in October 2019.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for October 2020.
