Johnston home prices rose in the fourth quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2020 in Johnston rose by $57,500 while total sales increased by 54.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2020, there were 133 homes sold, with a median sale price of $315,000 - a 22.3% increase over the $257,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 86 homes sold in Johnston in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Johnston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,698, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2020.
