What happened to the median home price in Elkhart during the second half of 2020?

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Elkhart fell by $16,750 while total sales decreased by 57.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $193,250 - a 8% decrease over the $210,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 19 homes sold in Elkhart in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,780, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
