Home prices increased in Altoona during the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Altoona rose by $2,450 while total sales increased by 10.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 274 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,950 - a 1.1% increase over the $228,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 247 homes sold in Altoona in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Altoona for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,448, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
