April 2021: Des Moines experienced a 6.9% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2021 in Des Moines rose by $10,250 while total sales decreased by 43%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2021, there were 200 homes sold, with a median sale price of $157,750 - a 6.9% increase over the $147,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 351 homes sold in Des Moines in April 2020.

The median sales tax in Des Moines for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,488, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for April 2021.
