What happened to the median home price in Elkhart during the second quarter of 2021?

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Elkhart rose by $28,875 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $225,000 - a 14.7% increase over the $196,125 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Elkhart in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,780, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
