Ankeny median home prices rose by 6.4% in the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Ankeny rose by $15,950 while total sales increased by 8.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 538 homes sold, with a median sale price of $263,950 - a 6.4% increase over the $248,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 496 homes sold in Ankeny in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Ankeny for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,836, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
