The first half of 2021: Elkhart experienced a 1% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Elkhart fell by $2,000 while total sales decreased by 18.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $190,000 - a 1% decrease over the $192,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 16 homes sold in Elkhart in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Elkhart for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,780, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
