Johnston Community School District recently issued the following announcement.
Johnston High School junior Esha Bolar has been named a national Technology Student Association (TSA) officer, serving as the organization’s secretary for the 2021-22 school year.
In her officer’s bio, Bolar recounts her formidable experiences in TSA, such as serving in two state offices, sergeant-at-arms and secretary. Since joining TSA in 2006 at Summit Middle School, Bolar said one of the things she enjoys most is creating opportunities to experiment with future careers and develop key professional skills, like presenting and public speaking.
According to the TSA website, “Open to students enrolled in or who have completed technology education courses, TSA’s membership includes more than 250,000 middle and high school students across the United States. TSA is supported by educators, parents, and business leaders who believe in the need for a technologically literate society. Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities, and much more. A wide range of activities makes TSA a positive experience for every student.”
