St. Luke the Evangelist Church issued the following announcement.
Oxtoberfest 2021 5K Stampede (or mini-stampede)

Join the Stampede! This 5K walk/run will have runners don their alpine gear (a t-shirt will be provided as part of registration fee) and charge through the streets of Ankeny! Corralling the runners (registration) begins at 10:30am. The stampede begins at 11:00am and finishes when everyone comes to the St. Luke's watering hole for a free drink in either our biergarten or one of the drink stations.
A downloadable PDF of the route will be available to you on the registration confirmation page once you have registered (right under the big green words that say "Your Registration is Complete!")
Children ages 5 and up are welcome to join in the mini-stampede activities offered by Kate Ledyard and crew, and will receive a t-shirt and free kids drink as part of the registration fee.
