City of Ankeny issued the following announcement on October 14.
The City of Ankeny Park Maintenance team is in the process of preparing all of the parks and outdoor recreation facilities for winter. This work includes closing restrooms and turning off water fountains for the winter months, please plan accordingly.
• Splash pads closed today, Oct. 14
• Permanent restrooms at Glenbrook and Miracle Park will close Nov. 1 . Restrooms are now closed at Sunrise and Sunset parks.
• Portable restrooms will be removed from all parks during the week of Oct. 25.
• All drinking fountains will be shut off during the week of Oct. 25.
