City of Ankeny issued the following announcement on November 2.
On Nov. 11, 2020, the Ankeny Police Department launched an investigation after receiving a tip from Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) taskforce and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) related to the sexual exploitation of minors.
Today, Nov. 2, 2021, as the result of an extensive and almost a year-long investigation, Ankeny police arrested Todd Schulz and Aimee Staudt on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. Ankeny detectives determined Schulz and Staudt had been in a relationship and their victims were known to them. At this point, all victims involved in the investigation have been contacted and there is no further concern to the public.
