The fourth quarter of 2021: Home prices in Johnston increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Johnston rose by $25,000 while total sales decreased by 24.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 101 homes sold, with a median sale price of $340,000 - a 7.9% increase over the $315,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 133 homes sold in Johnston in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Johnston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,698, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
