2021: Home prices in Johnston increased

The median sale price of a home sold in 2021 in Johnston rose by $29,130 while total sales increased by 8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2021, there were 486 homes sold, with a median sale price of $325,000 - a 9.8% increase over the $295,870 median sale price for the previous year. There were 450 homes sold in Johnston in 2020.

The median sales tax in Johnston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,698, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for 2021.
