City of Johnston recently issued the following announcement.

Food Pantry Stock up with Police and Fire

The Johnston Police Department and Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department are teaming up with Hy-Vee to collect non-perishable food for the Johnston Partnership. The members encourage community members to drop off donations at the following locations to benefit the Johnston Food Pantry:

• Johnston Hy-Vee, 5750 Merle Hay Road,
• Johnston Police Department, 6373 Merle Hay Road; or 
• Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department, 10225 NW 62nd Avenue.  

The Police and Fire members will be located at Hy-Vee from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. collecting donations. Please help them fill the back of their squad car and ambulance. The members appreciate the community's continued support of our food pantry as the need remains high in our community.
