In March, we will be covering how to unlock a DEI culture through Empathy in the workplace.

Q: You’re a leader in the Ankeny business community. What help did you get along the way? Throughout the journey of becoming more involved in the community, some of the greatest advice was around building a strong network of relationships and being an active contirbutor to their success. This allowed for trust to be built with others, but also created the types of relationship that are long lasting and there to help when you need it. It was this network that has continued to provide insights on business or community challenges and helped solve them along the way.

Q: What were some of the hurdles you faced in setting up Bizlab? We started our company right before the Pandemic which lead to us rethinking our business model and how we activate business. As an innovation company we saw this challenge and an opportunity to build for what the future of work and business may look like. We adopted the online interactions and remote culture right away which pushed us to have team members in different state, but now also different countries. We are on the path to launching a Latin America division of our company and without the nudge from the pandemic we may not have arrived at the opportunity this quick. Workforce is another challenge that every business experiences, so again we took time to really dig in and build the culture, onboarding, and an overall engaging journey for our current and prospective team members.

Q: Why should people sign up for the last Morning Hustle? Final pitch! We would encourage people to sign up who really want to dig into DEI from a behavior connection in your workplace and put strategies into place that enable you to build sustainable strategies around activiting new opportunies for employees.
