Median home prices in Ankeny rose to $280,000 in April

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Ankeny rose by $35,000 while total sales decreased by 19.9 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were 113 homes sold, with a median sale price of $280,000 - a 14.3 percent increase over the $245,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 141 homes sold in Ankeny in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Ankeny for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,836, approximately 1.4 percent of the median home sale price for April.
