NW 36th Street & NW State Street project begins June 7

42

The City of Ankeny will begin the NW 36th Street & NW State Street Interim Improvements construction project on Tuesday, June 7. Eastbound travel will not be allowed through the project area and will be detoured to NW 18th Street.  View the detour map.  All-way STOP signs will be implemented at the project intersection for the duration of construction. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2022, weather permitting.

The project will widen NW 36th Street to provide a westbound left-turn lane and an eastbound right-turn lane at the intersection with NW State Street. A span-wire traffic signal will also be installed with upgraded pedestrian ramps and pushbuttons at the crosswalks.
