Johnston home prices rose in May

The median sale price of a home sold in May in Johnston rose by $31,750 while total sales decreased by 44.8 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May, there were 32 homes sold, with a median sale price of $291,750 - a 12.2 percent increase over the $260,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 58 homes sold in Johnston in May 2021.

The median sales tax in Johnston for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,698, approximately 1.6 percent of the median home sale price for May.
