The Ankeny Kirkendall Public Library will remain open for normal business hours during SummerFest, however the parking lots, drive-up book drop and curbside service will be impacted before and during the event, July 5 – 10. Here are the details:
- The SummerFest carnival will be set up in the parking lots on the north/northeast side of the building (opposite The District Fountain) and on the street leading to the library from Westview Drive beginning July 5.
- Half of the parking lot on the northeast side (north of the playground) will also be used for the carnival and the other half will remain open for library patrons on a first come-first serve basis.
- Limited parking will also be available in front of the building and on the east side of the playground.
- The drive-up book drop will be closed to vehicles during this time.
- Walk-up access to the book drop will remain open throughout the week.
- Curbside service will be unavailable July 5 - 10.
- No overdue fines will accrue until regular access to the library is restored.
