Tron England has been selected as the new Associate Principal of Johnston Middle School in the Johnston Community School District. England most recently served as the Student Support Specialist at JMS.
“We are thrilled to have Mr. England continue as an integral part of the team at JMS,” said Brent Riessen, JMS Principal. “He has done great work at JMS over the past 5 years and we are excited to see him be able to impact students, staff and parents in an expanded way in this new role.”
England began his career in 1994 as an athletic coach, and served in various coaching roles until 2016. He spent twenty years working in the Des Moines Public School District as a middle school business teacher and then as a middle school behavior coach. In 2017, he transitioned to the Johnston school district to serve as Student Support Specialist at Johnston Middle School.
England received a bachelor’s degree in Education from Grand View University, and a master’s degree in Education from Viterbo University.
“I am extremely excited to expand my role within the Johnston Community School District and specifically with the wonderful students, staff, and families of Johnston Middle School,” said Tron. “I have truly cherished my previous position with the administrative team at JMS and look forward to my expanded responsibilities as the Associate Principal. It is my belief that JMS has a tradition of greatness and I will continue to contribute to striving towards levels of excellence.”
The JCSD School Board is expected to approve his contract at the July 11 board meeting.
