B-Safe Kids Camp

This will be the 6th annual B-Safe Kids camp, which has provided proven results in the past. The feedback from families is always incredibly positive and the kids enjoy learning about safety. This will give your child the foundation they need to feel confident on their first day of Kindergarten.

Cost: $25/child

Location: Bondurant-Farrar Middle School  - enter through the north door

This experience provides safety skills for kids preparing to start Kindergarten.

What you get:

  • 3 days full of structured safety lessons that will explore different safety precautions a 4/5-year-olds should know and learn (fire safety, traffic safety, My Body My Rules, poison safety, dog safety, water safety, and school bus safety).
  • Provides a consistent and cohesive curriculum made by the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Bondurant Emergency Services, YMCA of Greater Des Moines, Blank Children Hospital, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and City of Bondurant professionals providing creditable content.
  • Unified concepts with projects and engaging activities that all surround common ideas that show students' perspectives and different ways to approach and think about a concept
  • Exercise cross-curricular skills in math, science, reading, and writing.
  • Tailored projects to students preparing for kindergarten.

More Program Details:

  • This is hosted Aug 1-3.
  • Please check in each day by 8:45 AM, so the child is ready to start participating by 9:00 AM.
  • Check the child out by 11:45 AM, so the child is ready to leave by noon.
  • B-Safe Camp Graduation is Aug 3 and parents are encouraged to attend.
