The City of Ankeny invites the community to a ribbon cutting and dedication for the new Ankeny Pedestrian Bridge and Gateway of Trails Thursday, July 21 at 5:30 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the south side of the new pedestrian bridge at 601 SE Oralabor Road. After the ceremony, Mayor Mark Holm will lead a bike ride across the new bridge along the new trail to AMP for a celebration at Beats and Eats. Join us on your bike to take part in the ride to the celebration.
The City of Ankeny recently completed the extension of the High Trestle Trail from Magazine Road to Oralabor Road and the construction of a pedestrian bridge over Oralabor Road. This bridge connects the High Trestle Trail to the Oralabor Gateway and the Gay Lea Wilson trails providing access to hundreds of miles of regional trails.
