Polk City home prices rose in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Polk City rose by $16,340 while total sales decreased by 29.5 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 55 homes sold, with a median sale price of $333,590 - a 5.2 percent increase over the $317,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 78 homes sold in Polk City in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Polk City for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $3,800, approximately 1.1 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
