Two men charged with multiple offenses by Ankeny Police

On Thursday, July 21 at roughly 3 a.m. a car driven by Godfrey J. Oghissa (23) was stopped for speeding by an Ankeny Police officer. The officer observed and smelled marijuana coming from the car. Additional officers arrived and Oghissa and his passenger, Mach R. Nyaw (21) were asked to step out of the vehicle and they complied. During a search of Oghissa, Nyaw and the vehicle, officers located a handgun which had been reported stolen, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an open bottle of liquor.

Oghissa and Nyaw were both charged with multiple offenses and transported to the Polk County Jail.
