Johnston Officer Receives Recognition

Johnston Police Officer Naidenoff recently received the 2022 OWI Enforcement Officer of the Year Award from the Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force (C.I.T.S.T.F.). This award recognizes his strong efforts and continuous dedication to making Iowa’s roads safe through safety awareness, education, and enforcement.

Over the past year, Officer Naidenoff has been highly proactive in the enforcement of impaired driving to ensure our roads stay safe. From October 2021 through August 2022, Officer Naidenoff has made 35 impaired driving arrests along with numerous other tests for impairment due to drugs and alcohol. He leads the department for impaired driving arrests, demonstrating advanced knowledge in locating, investigating, and ensuring impaired drivers are not putting other motorists at risk.

Officer Naidenoff has participated in numerous C.I.T.S.T.F. projects, is a subject matter expert in impaired driving, and is a Standardized Field Sobriety Test (S.F.S.T.) instructor for the Johnston Police Department. His reports are detailed, often leading to convictions through his traffic stops. Officer Naidenoff looks to pursue further knowledge in impaired driving through the certification as a Drug Recognition Expert (D.R.E.).

Please help us congratulate Officer Naidenoff if you see him in the community. We appreciate his continued effort to ensure our roadways stay safe in our community.
