The Ankeny Police Department will have extra officers on patrol on Friday, March 17, ready to stop and arrest drivers suspected of driving under the influence. Officers will be working the metro streets on St. Patrick’s Day as part of Central Iowa Traffic Safety Task Force (CITSTF) project in conjunction with the Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau’s (GTSB) sTEP enforcement week.
Remember to get a sober ride home as you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Always buckle up, drive safely and drive sober.
