On Sunday, March 30, Johnston High School standouts, including Ava Smithson, competed in an NCAA Division I softball game for Northern Iowa Panthers

On Sunday, March 30, three former Johnston High School standouts, including Ava Smithson, Ella Smithson and Paige Peterson’s current college team, the Northern Iowa Panthers, lost 7-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Bradley Braves.

The game took place at UNI-Dome. This was their third matchup against the Braves this season.

The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 5 p.m. at UNI-Dome against Drake Bulldogs.
