On Thursday, May 1, former Ankeny High School standout Marina Carter’s college team won in an NCAA Division II softball game

On Thursday, May 1, former Ankeny High School standout Marina Carter’s current college team, the Minnesota State Mavericks, won 5-4 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Wayne State Wildcats.

The game took place at Bowden Field. This was their third matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, May 2 at 2:30 p.m. at Bowden Field against Winona State Warriors.
