On Saturday, May 3, three former Johnston High School standouts, including Ava Smithson, Ella Smithson and Paige Peterson’s current college team, the Northern Iowa Panthers, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Valparaiso Beacons.

The game took place at UNI-Dome. This was their second matchup against the Beacons this season.

The Panthers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, May 4 at 12 p.m. at UNI-Dome against Valparaiso Beacons.
