The 2022 holiday season marks the 75th anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program!

The program has been delivering a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters since 1947.

The Johnston-Grimes firefighters took part in this program by placing a donation box at each fire station.

On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Lt. Chris Ford and firefighter Adam Hoffman delivered six boxes of new and unwrapped toys to the drop-off location in Ankeny.

Thank you to the Johnston and Grimes residents for helping spread holiday cheer this season.

Your kindness certainly goes a long way, and when those children open those toys on Christmas morning, they will also feel that kindness.
