City of Johnston issued the following announcement on July 27.
Interacting with the art in our community is important. However, this does not mean climbing or hanging on public art. Public art is meant to be enjoyed and start a conversation. Please ensure children of all ages enjoy the pieces in our community from ground level.
As you look at the artwork, "What do you see," "How do you feel about it," Who is the artist" and "Why was this piece of art chosen for this area?" The conversation you have with others about public art can be fun and enjoyable.
Below is a list of the public art in our community:
Tree of Life: Located at Terra Park, 6400 Pioneer Parkway
UpDown: Located east of Johnston City Hall, 6221 Merle Hay Road
Flight: 6100 block of Merle Hay Road
Ripples: Johnston Town Center, 6245 Merle Hay Road
